K´NOT Doors are full exterior grade doors.

Thier construction is not dissimilar from traditional door construction methods.

An internal frame (the rails) is fully glued to the outer boards (the stiles). This provide dimensional stability and protect against warping and twisting. The other boards are secured with pins and are free to swell and contract within the door without effecting the overall width.

A system of overlapping tounge and groove joints ensure weather tightness. The boards can react to changing weather conditions without effecting their performance. The provision of spaces between the boards, expansion gaps and capillary breaks effectively control the movement of water over the surface of the door and avoid the infiltration of moisture through capillary action.

Finally, the inherent properties of curved forms are not only beautiful, but futher hinder distortion and warping.

The result is an attractive, stable and good
performing door of the highest quality.
