I use a combination of modern power machinery and
traditional hand tools, often using an axe or a hand plane,
and a chain morticer or a router on the same piece of wood.

It is impossible to complete with the accuracy
and efficency of modern machines, just as it is
impossible to complete with the beauty and
subtlety of handmade curves and finishes.

I prepare as much of the structure as possible in the comfort of the workshop,
creating a finished joinery "kit", that can be delivered ready for assembly on site.
Where appropiate, I work alongside other skilled and trained craftsmen for
specialist work and to reduce building times.
